LIVE ONLINE—WORLDWIDE
UNDERSTAND WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON WITH YOUR DOG—AND WHAT TO DO NEXT
Private dog training and behavior consulting.
I teach people and dogs to understand each other.
Through live video, I can observe your dog in familiar surroundings, read what is happening between you, and guide you both in real time.
Whether I enter your living room through the front door or through your laptop, my role is the same: to see the situation clearly and help you change what happens next.
For many dogs, it is better if I come in through the laptop.

I CAN HELP WITH:
• Extreme fear
• Anxiety and reactivity
• Aggression between dogs
• Sound sensitivity
• Newly adopted dogs
• Puppies and adolescents
• Multi-dog households
• Complex behavior concerns

By the time many people contact me, they have already tried conflicting advice and worked with one or more trainers.
They are exhausted, worried, and no longer sure whom to trust. Sometimes earlier attempts have made the problem worse.
Nothing needs to be rehearsed or made to look better before we begin. You do not need to be embarrassed by your dog’s behavior—or by your own uncertainty.
Your situation is not too complicated for us to find a place to begin.
Recommended by veterinarians, trainers, and clients since 2012.
WHY ONLINE WORKS
An in-person visit changes the room.
A fearful dog may retreat or shut down. A reactive dog may become highly aroused. Some dogs may become so excited that I cannot see how they ordinarily behave at home.
People change too. Most of us become more conscious of what we are doing when someone else is nearby.
Through live video, your dog remains in familiar surroundings, with the people they know, as daily life unfolds.
We can work where the behavior happens—at the front door, between dogs in the home, in the yard, or out on a walk. We can manage the environment, adjust the difficulty, and create conditions in which learning can happen.
I can see what leads up to the behavior that concerns you, how each of you responds, and how the sequence unfolds.
Often, the most important information appears before the obvious behavior: a change in breathing, a shift in posture, a person leaning forward, a hand reaching, a leash tightening, one dog becoming still as another approaches.
You do not need to watch me succeed with your dog.
You need to understand what your dog is communicating and know how to act on what you see. The relationship stays where it belongs: between you and your dog.

BRODY'S STORY
Brody’s family had adopted and fostered more than twenty greyhounds. They had already worked with two trainers and a veterinary behaviorist, but Brody’s fear of going outside had grown worse. He would cry, throw himself at the door, and be unable to calm down after coming back inside.
We worked together online. Brody began going into the yard on his own to relieve himself. He went on to run and play with his greyhound siblings. The first time he “ran with the pack,” Ann cried. She later described the change as miraculous.

SKILLFUL TEACHING MAKES LEARNING COLLABORATIVE
I watch the dog. I watch the person. I watch what is happening between them.
Needs and feelings can change quickly, and behavior changes with them. I see those shifts and adjust my teaching moment by moment so each step is just right for both you and youra dog.
I guide the learning. You and your dog shape the pace and direction.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER
We connect through live video using your phone, tablet, or computer.
We begin by talking about what has been happening, what you have already tried, and what concerns you most.
I may observe your dog moving through the home, settling after activity, responding to everyday sounds, interacting with members of the household, or sharing space with another dog.
If something you want help with happens outside, we can take the phone into the yard, driveway, or neighborhood.
For concerns involving visitors, we may arrange for a guest to come to your home while I coach you in real time—when to move, when to wait, how to use distance, and what to reinforce.
You learn to recognize what your dog is communicating and act before behavior escalates.
You will come away understanding what we saw, why it matters, and what to practice.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN TO SEE
Dog training advice is everywhere. One source contradicts another, yet each sounds certain. The result is often more confusion about what your dog needs and what you should do.
Often, the greatest barrier to changing behavior is what we assume the behavior means. We call a dog stubborn, jealous, dominant, dramatic, manipulative, or disobedient. Those labels shape how we see the dog. We begin responding to the label instead of observing the behavior.
I help you separate what you can see from what you have come to believe about it.
Once we set those assumptions aside, we can see the behavior clearly—and respond more skillfully.
I do not simply tell you what to do. I show you what I see.
You will learn how timing, movement, distance, attention, and emotional state affect behavior. You will recognize unnecessary pressure and reinforce the behaviors you want to see again—without frightening, hurting, or overpowering your dog.
You will not have to take my word for it.
You can believe the dog.
WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE
Greater safety, calm, and trust can make everyday life possible again.
Welcoming someone into your home. Moving safely through the day. Enjoying time together. No longer organizing your entire life around the next difficult moment.
-
So you can have your life back.
-
And your dog can relax.
