CONSULTATION & PRIVATE TRAINING

UNDERSTAND WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON WITH YOUR DOG—AND WHAT TO DO NEXT.

Safety 2.PNG

I help people create safety, calm, and trust with their dogs—for better lives together.

Veterinarians, trainers, and clients have recommended me since 2012. I am often the second, third, or fourth trainer people contact—sometimes after previous attempts have made things worse.

I CAN HELP WITH:

  • Fear and anxiety

  • Reactivity

  • Aggression and conflict between dogs

  • Sound sensitivity

  • Everyday skills—leash walking, calm greetings, puppy nipping and biting, attention and engagement, and coming when called

  • Newly adopted dogs Puppies and adolescents

  • Complex behavior concerns

WHAT TO EXPECT

My approach is trauma-informed and relationship-based. We start by looking at the whole picture: your dog’s behavior, body language, environment, history, needs, and relationships.

You will learn what your dog is communicating, what is driving the behavior, and how to respond in ways that reduce stress, meet needs, build trust, and create meaningful change.

I do not use punishment, intimidation, prong or shock collars, choke chains, or slip leads.

CONSULTATION AND PRIVATE TRAINING

The process begins with a 90-minute initial consultation. We look closely at what is happening, what is contributing to it, and what your dog and household need. You will come away with a clearer understanding of your dog, practical steps you can begin using immediately, and a plan for moving forward.

For some concerns, the initial consultation may provide enough clarity and practical direction on its own. Others will require continued guidance and support through private training sessions. Most clients begin with eight 60-minute sessions. More severe or complex concerns may require additional sessions to support lasting change.

LIVE ONLINE OR IN PERSON

The training that matters most happens between you and your dog, in the environments where you spend your lives together.

You do not need to send your dog away for weeks to be trained behind closed doors. At best, the trainer becomes better at communicating with your dog and strengthens their relationship—not yours. At worst, methods used behind closed doors can suppress behavior through fear or pain and leave a dog shut down rather than understood.

Online sessions keep you involved in every step while I coach you in real time. You and your dog learn together, build trust together, and create change that belongs to your relationship. For most clients, that makes online training more effective than having a trainer take over.

Live online sessions are available worldwide.

Limited in-person sessions are available in:

Blairsville and Hiawassee, Georgia

Hayesville and Murphy, North Carolina
